Terms of Use

Last updated October 9, 2026 (draft)

Plain-language draft. These terms are pending legal review.

The CogniGlide Security Checkup ("the Service") is provided by CogniGlide, LLC ("CogniGlide", "we"). By using it you agree to these terms.

1. Only check domains you're allowed to check

You may only request a check of a domain that you own or that you have permission to scan. You're responsible for having that permission. Don't use the Service to target domains of people or organizations who haven't agreed to it.

2. What the Service does

The Service performs passive, outside-in checks: public DNS lookups, a TLS handshake, and a normal request for the domain's homepage. Details are on our scanner page. It does not perform penetration testing, port scanning, or vulnerability exploitation.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

  • You sign in with an email link. Use a real address you control; disposable addresses aren't allowed.
  • Don't try to bypass rate limits, automate requests, or use the Service to harm anyone.
  • We may limit, suspend, or refuse access, and honor requests from domain owners to exclude their domains.

4. Logging

To prevent abuse we log each scan request: your email address, your IP address, the domain checked, the time, your browser's user-agent, and the result. See the Privacy Policy.

5. No guarantees

Results are a point-in-time, informational assessment based on public information. They are not a penetration test, audit, certification, or legal/compliance advice, and they may contain errors or miss issues. A good grade doesn't mean you can't be breached. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CogniGlide isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or reliance on its results.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions? Contact us through cogniglide.com.
